Abi Purser, founder of The Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel Group is delighted to be announced as finalist in two categories at this year’s prestigious SME Business Awards. Abi has been shortlisted in the ‘Business Woman of the Year’ and ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ categories in the 2019 awards. The results will be announced at the glamourous Awards Final on Thursday 20 June 2019 at Hunton Park Hotel, Watford.

The SME (Small Medium Enterprise) Business Awards aim to raise the profile of industrious, hardworking and enterprising SME’s in the county. The dedicated team at Longcroft are delighted to once again be shortlisted and to have been invited to attend as guest judges for the remaining categories this year.

We are immensely proud of the SME Business Awards’ endorsement of Longcroft’s success, innovation and focus on excellence in all that we do. At Longcroft we are pleased to continue our ongoing association with the SME Awards:  last year we were invited to judge in two categories. Our founder, Abi Purser, presented the ‘Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel Entrepreneur of the Year Award’ to the 2018 winner at the sparkling award ceremony.  This followed Abi winning the title ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ in the 2017 SME Awards. The expert judging panel, made up of representatives from successful Hertfordshire business, felt Abi embodied the entrepreneurial spirit with her ‘visionary, tenacious and bold’ approach.  They recognised her creativity, entrepreneurialism and enthusiasm, which they felt were key to Longcroft’s rapid growth and consistent approach in all of its locations.

Longcroft also won the SME ‘Best New Business’ award back in 2014, following the phenomenal success of our founding hotel in Welwyn Garden City and subsequent opening of our second hotel in St Albans. Then, as now, the award was testament to Longcroft’s unique vision and provision of a state of the art, immaculate, safe, homely environment for feline guests to enjoy while their owners are away.
