ABI PURSER, FOUNDER OF THE LONGCROFT LUXURY CAT HOTEL GROUP DELIGHTED TO WIN ‘ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR’ AT THE SME BUSINESS AWARDS

The winners of the 2017 SME Business Awards were announced at a ceremony in Hertfordshire last Wednesday. Over 100 promising businesses were nominated for these prestigious awards to celebrate innovation and excellence across the county.  Those shortlisted gathered at Watford’s Coliseum at a glitzy bash to celebrate the Best of Hertfordshire businesses.  The finalists gathered for an evening of entertainment, networking and compelling stories of business success.

The evening was presented by Jules Breach, well known for leading live shows for the likes of Premier League TV, who inspired the audience and led a fabulous evening of recognition and celebration.

Lauren Hendon, manager of Tewin Bury Farm Hotel was delighted to present Abi Purser the winning title of  ‘Entrepreneur of the Year.’ The judges agreed she stood out –  ‘Visionary, tenacious and bold in approach, this person truly embodies entrepreneurial spirit.’

Amongst the expert judging team was Pam Charman, Chair of the FSB alongside Cllr David Levett of North Herts District Council and Salem Retibi, General Manager of Tewin Bury Farm Hotel who together with the rest of the panel felt that Abi’s creativity, entrepreneurialism and enthusiasm were very impressive and key to the rapid growth and consistent approach in all 15 locations.

Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel, founded by Abi Purser in 2010, provides a state of the art, immaculate, safe, homely environment for feline guests to enjoy whilst their owners are on holiday. Due to the phenomenal success of the founding hotel located in Welwyn Garden City, Abi went on to franchise the business just 2 years later and has now successfully supported a talented team in opening a further 15 boutique luxury cat hotels up and down the country.
