GRAND OPENING OF LONGCROFT LUXURY CAT HOTEL CREETING ST PETER

Back to blog

The latest addition to the Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel Group is Longcroft Creeting St Peter, near Ipswich in Suffolk, which will be the 26th hotel to open under the successful Longcroft brand and will be a welcome addition to the very popular hotel already operating in Bury St Edmunds. Longcroft Creeting St Peter is owned and run by  LJ Boulter and her cat loving family. Situated at the end of a tiny lane in the charming village of Creeting St Peter, the hotel is located within the grounds of LJ’s home, overlooking her beautiful, mature garden. So, she will always be close at hand to care for her feline guests’ every need. The hotel officially opens its doors at the end of September and is already taking bookings.

On Saturday 5th October, from 2pm – 4pm, LJ and her husband Jon will welcome local residents, customers and friends to the Grand Opening of their brand-new state-of-the-art hotel. Guests will enjoy some Longcroft hospitality: sampling Longcroft cupcakes, Prosecco and the opportunity to take a peek at the gorgeous new hotel and its stunning setting. The first 50 guests will each receive a Longcroft goody bag.

Longcroft Creeting St Peter offers five-star accommodation for feline guests while their owners are on holiday. It will include just eight luxury suites, each built to the same exacting standards as those of all Longcroft’s hotels.  Every suite has its own climate-controlled bedroom, leading to a private semi outdoor play area meaning the hotel is ideally suited to both indoor and outdoor cats.  Each guest will enjoy a multi-level cat tree with a comfortable den to sleep hide and play. Each suite boasts gorgeous views over the family’s two acre garden, which plays host to an abundance of birds, rabbits, hares and deer! The hotel is located between Stowmarket and Needham Market, just off the A14, and is surrounded by fields and farmland but is conveniently close to Ipswich.

The Longcroft ethos focuses on animal welfare, and LJ and her family will treat every guest as if they were their own.  LJ and her husband of 28 years, Jon, adore all things feline – as a couple they have always lived with at least two cats, including rescue kitties and some pedigrees too.  Their home has never been without pets.  They currently have 6 chickens, a ginger tom cat named Roo, a Scottish Fold called Trudy and Percy, a Maine Coon! The cats even travelled with them when they lived overseas!  So they have plenty of experience.  Longcroft Creeting St Peter will be a real family affair, with LJ’s husband, together with the help of their grown-up son and daughter on extra cat cuddling duty at the weekends.  Lucky guests staying at Longcroft Creeting St Peter will receive far more than average one-on-one human time and will offer expert care for guests that may have extra needs such as medication or certain feeding requirements.

Now the family are happily settled in their forever home, LJ is excited to be stepping away from her job at a tech firm to focus on her dream job, caring for cats in her beautiful home-from-home hotel whilst owners are away.

“I discovered Longcroft when I was looking for a special service to help care for our four beloved cats when we moved back home to the UK from living overseas. Luckily, Daisy the owner of Longcroft Cat Hotel Orpington had availability and came to my rescue!  I felt so reassured that my cats were at a Longcroft Hotel – when we collected them they were beautifully groomed, happy, and relaxed and I received regular photos and updates during their stay.  This experience really made me reevaluate my future and now I can’t wait to offer the same care and loving dedication to my very own customers! I want my cat parents to feel relaxed and happy, safe in the knowledge that their beloved pets are in the best hands. I know how important it was to me to see my cats so happy and well cared for, and I will do the same for others.” – LJ

Longcroft is the UK’s only luxury hotel group for cats. It was founded in 2010 by Abi Purser, who opened the very first hotel in Hertfordshire after struggling to find suitable care for her beloved rescue cat Norman. Abi still runs this hotel today with the help of her cat loving team. Longcroft continues to grow thanks to their detailed and expert approach and places animal welfare at the heart of everything they do. You can expect tailored food choices, grooming packages and travel options where required. Longcroft offers complete peace of mind to  cat owners when they go away, by providing a tailored, home-from-home experience.
