Longcroft Southport is fully licensed with 5 interior designed suites each with a climate controlled bedroom leading to a spacious play area allowing guests space to climb and exercise as well as relax. Room service and plenty of expert one-on-one care and play come as standard so your cats can enjoy an environment that is very close to the one they are used to at home….if not a little better! The hotel is set in the lovely garden of the owner Harvey Summers’ home, surrounded by mature trees and with plenty of wildlife to keep the guests entertained.

Less than a mile from Royal Birkdale golf course, Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel Southport is situated in a quiet location in Birkdale, Southport, in Merseyside. Liverpool airport is within an hour’s reach and it is ideally located for cats living in neighbouring Formby, Lancashire (Preston, Chorley) and Greater Manchester.

    After Harvey watched the Channel 4 show “Compare your Life” featuring Longcroft, he decided that it was time to end his 25 year career of teaching English and Film courses and become a Longcroft hotelier!

    Harvey has had numerous pets over the years - from Pinky the goldfish to four cats (Marmite, Socks, Marlon and Kevin) to Harry, a yellow-crested Amazon parrot, who lives with him and his partner now.

    Our two much loved cats, Marmie the ever-hungry hilarious ginger tom, and Purdy the timid sweet little tabby girl, have just had their first ever stay away from home. The accommodation was superb: definitely unbeatable for comfort and cleanliness. Harvey looked after them really well, and sent us an update to assure us they were settling in. He even trained Marmie to use a cat flap, Harvey and John obviously care for both the cats and their owners. We can highly recommend the Longcroft Cat Hotel. We will definitely be booking them in for another holiday when we have our summer dates. We will have to do this as soon as possible - once word gets round they will be fully booked!     A paradise for cats & kittens!

    A paradise for cats & kittens! We left our gorgeous exotic shorthair, Garfield, there for the 1st time this weekend and the care and love he was given was outstanding. Garfield recently had a serious operation so we could only leave him somewhere very special and this was the perfect place. Harvey & John are like cat maitre d's; attentive, so pleasant, all round great people and the cat hotel itself is stunning. Do not hesitate to contact Longcroft Southport, you will not be disappointed, we have already booked Garfield's next stay!!!

    We are so happy to have found Abi and her beautiful cat hotel. Our two cats stayed for the first time recently and seemed to settle in immediately. We were pleasantly surprised to hear from Abi while we were away informing us that they were quite happy and totally chilled. This type of reassurance, the wonderful setting and Abi's genuine love and knowledge of cats makes this Hotel by far the best we have ever come across and we have owned cats for many years. We have already booked again for September. Well done, Abi you have got it 'just right!'

    Cannot recommend enough! Harvey is amazing and has such a great set up at longcroft Southport. He has taken such amazing care of Elvis every time he has stayed. Elvis comes home relaxed and not at all stressed and I love the photo updates. All of this makes going away stress free for us both 😻

    My cat Cosmo recently spent 3 weeks at Longcroft hotel over the Christmas and New Year period.It was cosmo’s first stay away from home, so we were of course apprehensive about leaving him. When we dropped him off, Harvey took the time to make sure he settled Cosmo in, showed us around the cat hotel and ensured any questions we had were answered. The cat’s room is spacious and spotless and has a comfy bed, scratch post, toys etc, so everything they need.I have nothing but good things to say about the cat hotel!! Harvey sent regular updates and pictures to show how settled and happy Cosmo was, and how well he was getting on. There was so much attention and love given to him and when he returned home he had clearly been well cared for. He even came home with some treats and a lovely gift of a new flat bed (which he absolutely adores and still sleeps on).I have no hesitation in recommending Longcroft Luxury Cat hotel in Southport.Harvey - thank you so much for all the love and affection you gave to Cosmo. He will certainly be back to stay with you whenever we go away next!

    I was able to book a last minute stay for my cat Mozart here and the host was amazing to answer all my doubts and get my cat booked in quickly.Because I arrive by train from Liverpool, the host kindly even offered to drop me in the station afterwards!Mozart stayed there for 10 days and was well looked after. The host made sure to give my daily updates of him via WhatsApp (including daily pics).On the day of his pick-up the host kindly again offer to bring him to the station for me to make my life easier, and he also made sure to give me a gift bag for my cats with treats and new toys for him!This was my first time leaving Mozart in a Cat Hotel and was very nervous about it. But after this experience I can say how happy I am to know my cat was so well looked after. Would definitely recommend!

    An absolutely wonderful cat hotel. My two cats were spoilt by Harvey, who cared for their every need, keeping them warm during very cold days and nights and giving them cuddles and treats. Harvey sent photos so that I was completely reassured the cats were happy. I cannot recommend Longcroft Cat Hotel enough. Harvey really cares. Thank you.

    What a find this cat hotel is. I was completely reassured at leaving Bill to stay with Harvey. The Cattery was extremely spacious and spotless. Harvey clearly adores cats and we received regular photos of Bill whilst we were away, reassuring my children that he was happy and well cared care. I highly recommend Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel and will certainly be using them again.

    Harvey looked after my anxious fur baby extremely well & sent me regular updates & photos. She was calm & content when I went to pick her up. I highly recommend Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel, the facilities are excellent & I will certainly use them again.

    We had not long aquired our two male kittens and were going on holiday so was very weary and anxious about where our boys could holiday in a place where we felt at ease leaving them with. We went and met Harvey before hand and to check over accomodation and instantly knew our boys would be cared for with genuine love and care. Harvey is a genuine warm, caring and trust worthy person who puts cats welfare and happiness first.Harvey is a cat lover and attends to all cats in his care as if they were his own. As our boys were kittens and ate frequently Harvey ensured us that the boys were fed at their usual times. We were worried parents but Harvey put our minds at ease by sending us daily diary of their activities and sending us pictures of our boys so we could see for ourselves the contentment in their faces and so let us enjoy our holiday too knowing they were content and happy. Upon arriving to collect our boys they were of cause happy to see us but didnt seem to want to leave in a hurry! They were reluctant to get in their carrier basket and it appeared they wanted to stay longer!!! Ha Ha. They were totally stress free and in joyful mood. The boys were given a goodybag gift from Harvey which was a lovely reminder for the boys when they got back home as they constantly play with Harveys gifts . I would definetely book Harveys hotel again and i know the boys would love to return.😪😸🐱.

    Harvey was great we left our 2 kittens with him for a week they had a lovely double room big climbing tree to play on every day Harvey sent as photos and the boys seems very happy we were very happy with the service would use again as boys were very happy.

    Our boys came back unstressed and well looked after, first stay and Harvey went out of his way to reassure us that our fur babies were settled. Our cats are indoor cats and did not want them to visit anywhere with outside runs. Highly recommend.

    We were so impressed with the care and attention given to Merlin - who has now stayed at this hotel twice - that we would not consider anywhere else. Harvey, the proprietor, clearly enjoys his work and has time to entertain & play with the cats. This may be partly because there are not too many rooms which really attracted us to the hotel in first instance. We were able to ask about Merlin's welfare when we were away from home via Whats App & we received prompt responses including photos which were really reassuring. The rooms are spotless and well appointed. We would definitely recommend! A lovely touch, customers receive a cat gift at the end of their cats stay.

    Please look no further than Longcroft! The service from Harvey from start to finish was outstanding, very professional and informative. We have never used a cattery before and were very nervous about leaving Jess as she is quite a nervous little cat and doesn't really like to moved, we normally ask our neighbour to look after her whilst we are on holiday as she also gets very stressed when put in her carrier. Harvey invited us down to have a look round and discuss her needs and we were then put at ease that she would be well looked after. The accommodation is very luxurious and spotlessly clean, lots of space to move around and an activity centre to play and sleep on, Harvey spent a lot of time fussing her and is genuinely lovely and affectionate towards all the cats, he also sent us photo updates which were highly welcome! Suffice to say we have rebooked for our summer holiday, I would highly recommend anyone looking to leave their cat in a immaculate, loving and safe environment, you will not be disappointed, see you soon, lots of love Lucie, Neil & Jess x

    Longcroft Cat Hotel in Southport cared for Elsie, our cat, very well. She settled quickly, had lots of attention, and came home unstressed. The rooms are very clean. Harvey discussed her needs with me, and this gave us peace of mind while we were away.     we were very nervous to leave our elderly cat whilst moving house but felt immediately at ease as soon as we met Harvey at Longcroft. The accommodation really is luxurious and Harvey's loving care is genuine and reassuring. We have no hesitation in giving Harvey and Longcroft the best possible recommendation. Our much loved cat will certainly be visiting Longcroft again.
