Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel Fontwell is conveniently located just off the A27, in a pretty lane by Fontwell racecourse, midway between Chichester and Arundel in the garden of Helen’s family home. Gatwick and Heathrow Airports are just an hour away. Longcroft Fontwell is fully licensed, with only 8 temperature controlled suites. Helen offers round-the-clock attention and care. Plenty of play sessions, grooming and cuddles, paired with state-of-the-art building materials, ensure that your cat has as good a holiday as you.

    Meet The Family

    Helen was inspired to open a Longcroft hotel when she read of Abi's vision to provide luxury holidays for feline guests.

    "I love pets and have had a rescue cat or two for 20 years. When in Geneva I adopted two multilingual Swiss cats, Pluton and Persee, who loved a luxury apartment lifestyle overlooking the lake. Persee returned to the UK with me and enjoyed a new life as a country cat in Hampshire. My present cat, Mr Bentley, is a country boy, who likes to spend as much time as possible outside, when not sleeping off his exercise in the most comfortable chair in the house.

    Having experienced a range of different care providers for my own pets, I know how important it is for families to have confidence that their cat will be kindly and professionally looked after after while they are away. As I live on the premises, and the hotel will remain small, I can ensure that guests receive a high level of attention, especially if they are nervous, or have not previously enjoyed stays away from home."

    Helen made sure that Denzel felt secure and happy

    Denzel is a rescue cat and I didn't want to put him in a cattery whilst we moved house, as he would think that he had been abandoned again. Longcroft was the right choice for him. From the beautiful cat bed to the amazing scratch post/hammock/plaything the venue is perfect for pampered pets. In addition to the 'room' the thing (well, person really!) that made Denzel feel welcome was the lovely Helen. When we arrived Denzel had got a little upset and Helen made sure that he felt secure and happy before we left him to his little holiday. To reassure us even further, we received emails from Denzel telling us what he had been up to and how he had enjoyed the A La Cat menu that we had arranged for him. Denzel and I would highly recommend Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel Fontwell as somewhere ideal for your cat to stay.

    What a great find!

    What a great find! Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely Helen who showed Belle to her suite, which was immaculate and had everything a cat could wish for. I knew that Belle would be in safe hands but I was slightly worried that she would be reluctant to leave! During Belles stay we received an email update to let us know she had settled well which was reassuring. Helen has since sent me a few photos of her stay. I would highly recommend this cat hotel.     Helen has permanent custom from us and our babies for life!

    We have 3 month old Ragdoll kittens Mitsy and Crunch and after visiting Helen at Longcroft to have a look around I simply knew they had to come here whilst we went on holiday! We drove over an hour and a half to Helens and it was worth every second. Not only did she look after them extraordinarily well but kept me informed all week on how they were doing with emails and pictures! They came home like they had never been away! Helens warming nature immediately put us at ease and she has permanent custom from us and our babies for life! Would thoroughly recommend you visit to see for yourself. Big big thanks to Helen!

    Our kitten Betsie had a fabulous stay in the Snowdrop Suite. We felt very relaxed leaving her in such capable and caring hands. The setting is gorgeous and the suites are all clean, safe and warm...we weren't sure if Betsie actually wanted to come home again! She will certainly be back for another holiday.     'The care and service provided was outstanding - Aly really does a good job. The suites are spacious. light and airy and there are plenty of things to keep the cats entertained. Proof was that we struggled to get ours out of the suite when we came to pick her up! Would highly recommend.'

    Helen offers an amazing service and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. She takes the time to get to know each cat and they always seem very relaxed during their stay. She keeps you regularly updated too, which gives you peace of mind.

    Me and my family were moving house and we wanted a safe happy place for our cat Ted whilst we was moving. Ted was only meant to stay for 2 weeks but it ended up being a month due to things taking so long. But I can’t explain how fantastic Helen was with Ted. We loved the daily updates and seeing how he was getting on. After a month when he came back, he was a little shy at first but after a few hours in our new home he was back to himself. He was so calm and relaxed and you can honestly tell how pampered and looked after he had been. The move was very stressful so knowing he was in the best place ever was such a relief. I don’t think he wanted to leave! Thank you so much for taking care of Ted, we couldn’t of asked for him to stay somewhere nicer. He had a lovely little break. This is the best place ever to put your fur babies, I can’t explain how great Helen has been!

    When we moved home recently, we had to move in with family for a while before we would be able to move into our new place, which meant we had to find a safe place for our fur baby Casper to stay while we waited. A month turned into almost three (moving home during a pandemic isn’t recommended) and we couldn’t have been more grateful for Helen. We knew Casper was safe and happy with her, and she sent us the most lovely regular updates. We were super nervous about putting casper in a cat hotel because he had never been in one before, but he seemed really relaxed and at home with Helen. We highly recommend Fontwell to anyone who’s a little bit nervous about cat hotels. Thank you Helen for looking after our Casper so well.

    Honestly we have been to a few catteries with our cat Bobby and everytime he has come back petrified. Helen made us feel automatically eased with her kindness. Although Bobby stays the scaredy cat whilst he is there, he hasnt once come home with his blanket wet. Helen really takes the time to bring Bobby out of his shell each and everytime he goes there. I love how I get updates on how he is and honestly this makes me feel so much better. I couldn't recommend Helen enough and nothing I say in a review will ever tell you how much effort Hele puts in to make sure the animals under her care are well looked after.

    Our beautiful Birman, George, stayed here for the first time in January when the weather was cold and damp. We needn’t have worried - he was warm and cosy, and Helen took every care to make sure he was settled in. She even emailed updates to let us know how he was doing. This really is an excellent cat hotel, lovely bright premises, and so nice to be able to take and collect George by appointment. We wouldhave no hesitation in recommending.

    Helen who runs this hotel is amazing, she treats the cats as if they were her own. I loved the little touches (cat milk and dreamies at night!) and the email updates. My cat had a very happy stay here, highly recommend and will use again.

    Bailey has stayed at Longcroft Fontwell with the lovely Helen ever since he was a kitten. The facilities are superb and the care is first class.He is now a regular guest and we would not put Bailey in any other place other than a Longcroft hotel.

    Helen is a superb, helpful and kind owner and host. Our boys would not wish to have their holidays anywhere else (and we wouldn't leave them anywhere else either!). We are always confident they will be very well looked after at Fontwell and they are now used to staying in luxury several times a year. Thank you Helen - we wouldn't know what to do without you!

    Thank you Helen for giving our two kittens the most wonderful holiday. They’ve never been away from home before but the care and attention they received were more than I could have hoped for. The cat hotel is beautiful, bright and so friendly and the regular email updates throughout the week were brilliant! I thoroughly recommend Helen and the Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel and our cats can’t wait to stay again!

    Helen's beautiful hotel is more than a hotel, it's cat's heaven. My feline son Russell stayed there for over two weeks whilst we were away and I couldn't be happier and neither could he. Helen is a cat angel and Russell loved his stay so much that I have already booked his Christmas visit.     Helen has looked after Smartie for 4-5 day periods, and there was no question of going anywhere else when we booked our holiday. We were gone for 3 weeks this time and knew she would be in the best possible place. We received email updates with pictures that were comforting while we were away.We have told many people about Helen, as the quality of accomodation, cleanliness and attention to detail are second to none. Helen is a lovely person who is kind and loves cats, she is the only person we would trust to look after our beloved moggy. When our return was delayed by a day she made special arrangements to help us out at very short notice. Thank you Helen, see you next year.

    Thank you Helen, for looking after Louie so well! He's never been away from home before and I was quite anxious about the experience. But Helen's hotel was lovely, light, spotlessly clean and the guests were all happy, looked beautifully groomed and had lots of toys. Louie settled in quickly and while I was away Helen sent regular updates and photos. Louie came back chilled and with his coat gleaming as well a sa bag full of his favourite toys and treats.     We were very anxious about leaving behind our Tigger for 2 weeks whilst on holiday in Australia. Thank you so much Helen for your wonderful service.     What a find! Helen and her lovely cat hotel are amazing! If you are looking for a really special experience for your pet do not hesitate to contact her. This has been Oscar's second short visit to Longcroft in preparation for a longer stay. I was very nervous at the beginning, as until I came across Helen, I had not been able to find anyone I could be totally comfortable with to care for our precious Oscar, so much so that we had not taken a holiday in the past 5 years since adopting him. Helen is totally dedicated to giving your pet a home from home experience, and nothing is too much trouble. The enclosures are absolutely spotless and her care is faultless. She has kept in touch with us throughout, with numerous emails and photos which has also been very reassuring. I am totally relieved to have discovered Longcroft at last, and will definitely be leaving Oscar in Helen's care in the future whenever the need arises. Thank you Helen so much!

    What a find! We were so relieved to find the lovely Helen and her spotless yet warm and comfy luxury cattery. Helen's extra loving care helped for a smooth transition after moving our 8 cats 300 miles from their home in Yorkshire to their their new home in Sussex. We can't rate Helen highly enough. Yes you will pay more money then your average cattery BUT this is not your average cattery, it's a hotel and is far superior. Helen offers a genuine home from home atmosphere and lavishes her attention on all her guests. We had complete peace of mind whilst we were away from our cats and hope to send to them to Helen again in the near future for a luxury holiday!
