Welcome to Longcroft Four Marks

Longcroft Four Marks is located in the pretty village of Four Marks, which sits on the border of the South Downs National Park, surrounded by beautiful, historic Hampshire countryside. The hotel offers five-star accommodation for feline guests. Each of the hotel’s seven luxury suites has its own climate-controlled bedroom, leading to a private, safe, garden play area, complete with multi-storey viewing platforms for feline guests to play or relax. The cat hotel is situated in a quiet, leafy garden and is conveniently located close to the A31 and around 20 minutes from Winchester.

    Meet The Family

    Longcroft Four Marks in run by April, who adores all things feline. Her boutique hotel is set in the lovely garden of her pretty rural home in the stunning Hampshire Countryside.

    “For many years I dreamt of opening my own cat hotel – I was inspired when I met Longcroft founder Abi Purser eight years ago, and fell in love with the concept of her first fabulous cat hotel. Every cat that stays is treated as a VIP - given the highest standard of care in gorgeous surroundings. I want my customers to leave feeling 100% confident that their feline family members are in the most capable of hands and that they will receive the five-star treatment they have been promised. I love spending my time catering to the every need of our special friends.”

    April shares her lovely home with her husband Sean. Together they have five grown up children and have always had lots of family pets. Before opening her own cat hotel, for many years April ran her own hard landscaping business, and then she ran the finance department for a Technology Company. She also owned a livery yard for many years. She has always wanted to work with animals, especially cats:

    “As a young girl I used to volunteer at my local vets and over the years I have looked after many cats – I would often arrive home with a cat that I had decided to rescue! I have a diploma in anatomy and physiology so I have a great understanding of how our feline friends’ bodies work. And I’m also a qualified Swedish masseuse – so I’m sure my massage skills will make my feline pampering sessions even better for my guests. I’m passionate about offering every cat that stays with me a comforting, home-from-home experience so that their owners can go away knowing that their cats are receiving the best care available.”

    The extra mile to make her guests as comfortable as possible

    Dexter and Sherlock are not generally happy with strangers but when we picked them up it was clear that they, and Sherlock in particular had really taken to April and this, we feel, is due to the extra mile she takes to make her guests as comfortable as possible.

    April was unbelievable-she took time out to have a reassuring chat with me before we arrived and was kind and patient with all my questions. When we arrived for check in April was fantastic- again so patient with us and showing kindness while I cried my eyes out. April gave regular updates include several emails updating us on how our cat was settling on the first evening.

    Our cat has been traditionally very unhappy to be in a cattery however April took the time to reassure him and make him feel comfortable and at home. What a difference that care makes both to him and the updates we received from April allowing us to feel relaxed on holiday. Highly recommend.

    April is absolutely lovely and took great care of our darling Lloyd. It was his first time away from home and we were nervous but she reassured us and ensured we were relaxed while away in the comfort that he was being well looked after and getting lots of cuddles! Thank you April!

    April was a lifesaver for Oscar, our Norwegian Forest 18yr old diabetic gentleman requiring daily insulin injections and now with high blood pressure requiring half tablet daily; And then there was LONGCROFT. They were amazing. Quite simply April rescued us and him with no notice at all since there was a problem at the previous cattery. April was magnificent. She gave unstintingly of her time when we arrived. We were completely put as ease and assured. His little Suite was already heated to welcome him and no longer was he sitting hunched and sad but happy and comfortable.Nothing was too much for April in her care and time for Oscar. We were sent photos of him regularly and he looked utterly happy and content. April gave him lots of strokes and cuddles. She played with him. Finally, such was her care of him he did not want to return home to normal life. It was a real joy for us and we cannot wait for Oscar's next holiday with April (very shortly) as we know that Oscar will be cared for in a unique way. He loved his 'goody-bag' and played with it at home!

    I couldn't fault this cattery at all! We had booked last minute (a week prior) and April managed to fit us in. I was nervous about leaving my cats as we didn't have a very positive experience from a previous cattery, however April ensured our nerves were settled and sent lots of photos and updates of them while we were away. It's so nice to find a cattery that is of such a high standard and who genuinely cares about your cats as much as you do. We will be back for sure!Thank you for taking care of Pablo and Percy!The goody bag was a lovely touch :)

    I left my kitty Gus with April for a couple of weeks while I was away on holiday and was nervous as he has never been in a cattery before. April was so kind and caring and put me at ease. She sent me several photos and updates while I was away which was so lovely to see! She was so good with him and listened (and remembered) all the things I told her about him. I would leave him in her care again in a heartbeat.

    We had our kitten Moon stay at Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel Four Marks for a week recently. We were recommended Longcroft by a friend, but obviously we were very anxious and nervous about this experience, a first time for us and Moon at a cattery.In the end, April reassured us and took really good care of Moon, and we were very happy with the way April communicated with us back and forth, sending us updates and pictures, to put our mind at ease while we were away.We loved the cleanliness, the attention and the care, and the overall theme of the suites and the experience, and would definitely use Longcroft next time.Recommended!

    We booked our cat Phoenix in for a 2 week stay at Longcroft whilst we were away.I was updated every couple of days with photos of him and he looked so incredibly happy. April took such good care of him which put my mind at rest to enjoy our holiday.I cannot recommend Longcroft more. You will be so glad you’ve left your cat with such a lovely person who is guaranteed to love and look after your cat like her own.Thanks again April!

    Recently moved house and needed to find a cattery to look after my two who are not used to catteries at all. I was nervous but needs must and after looking at reviews we found ourselves at Longcroft. Well no need to worry at all, the cattery is beautiful, so clean and welcoming. April very kind to my cats and very reassuring for me. She took the time to find out about their likes and dislikes and also immediately offered to grab a ladder for my slightly older clumsy cat Bernard. Bernard thinks he can jump higher tha he actually can!! While they were with April I received updates from her again reassuring me they were happy and settling in nicely. Picked them up after a few days to find not only well groomed clean kitties but also April had cleaned their carry cages too! They’ve not been so clean since I bought them!! 😄😄😄🤣highly recommended

    Absolutely wonderful experience with Longcroft Four Marks and April.We were dropping off a very nervous Siberian cat who had only ever had a bad experience with a cattery previously so were quite nervous about her stay. We needn't be worried. April was fantastic and looked after our cat Luna (Lulu) as if she was one of her own. The cattery itself is spotless and one can see the utmost care is taken to keep it clean and inviting for new furry friends. April took extra special care to make sure Lulu was comfortable and got used to her new home with lots of cuddles and patience. We got frequent updates on Lulu's progress which put our minds at rest and when we went to collect her found her very relaxed and with a lovely groom! Would certainly use Longcroft again and a special thanks to April for being so caring, attentive and loving to our cat.

    My first experience leaving my cat at another cattery wasn't the most pleasant, so I was very anxious about trying it again. This time we chose Longcroft as we read so many good reviews about the place. We booked with April over the phone and I automatically felt really good vibes!! April was so kind and reassuring that W.T. was going to be in good hands, and that was everything I needed to hear. We received updates during his stay, including pictures where we could see he was comfortable with her. When we collected him his fur was soooo soft!! April was so kind to even wash his little blanket. We came back with a goody bag and a new toy to add to his collection, and let me tell you, he loves playing with it at home. Surely there are no bad memories attached to it l, otherwise he wouldn't play with it. The cattery was extremely clean and organized, the rooms were big, big comfortable beds and a enormous cat tree. For sure the best you can get and April is such a caring person, just what you need for your little fury member of the family. Already booked another stay, but I know many more will come. 😺
