Longcroft Walkern sits in a picturesque rural setting on the River Beane, surrounded by countryside but just a few miles from the bustle of Stevenage. Located within a private, gated development situated in the idyllic village of Walkern.

Offering just eight luxury suites, each has its own climate-controlled bedroom, leading to a private and safe play area, complete with multi-storey viewing platforms for feline guests to play or relax. The peaceful location is perfect for both indoor and outdoor guests, with stunning views over a large secluded garden surrounded by mature trees and plenty of nature to keep the feline guests entertained. 

The quiet, village setting site is conveniently located near Hitchin, Royston, Hertford and Cheshunt.

    Meet The Family

    Amanda is passionate about cats: “I have two fur babies of my own, Tommy (a tuxedo British Shorthair) and Tilly (a Ragdoll mix), and they are my absolute world. I got my first kitten at the age of six and was instantly besotted, and since then have never been without a feline friend. Life doesn’t feel complete unless I have a cat chattering away in the background and rubbing against my legs!”
     
    Amanda is a qualified accountant, who specialised in tax and worked in practice for 30 years. By chance she stumbled across Longcroft when searching for a suitable holiday location for her own beloved kitties. She quickly fell in love with the idea of opening her own luxury cat hotel.
     
    “I am so excited about opening my own hotel and couldn’t think of a more purrrrfect way of spending my days than looking after such precious kitties! Customers can feel absolutely safe in the knowledge that I will treat and pamper every feline guest as if they were my own. I look forward to
    meeting all the different breeds and love how all cats have their own, unique personalities. Pussycats will be in good hands at Longcroft Walkern, so their owners can enjoy a relaxing, worry-free time away.”

    Would highly recommend!

    Our first time booking our cat, Ruby, into a Longcroft cattery. Amanda met me outside her house and took time to ensure that Ruby was settled in before I left. We received updates on Ruby 3 times a week and it was good to know how well she was being looked after and really being made a fuss of. We worried that Ruby wouldn't want to come home!!!

    The suites were amazing

    Our cat was booked in at the Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel Walkern for a short mini-break for his first stay away from home. Amanda was welcoming and got to know our cat very quickly. The suites were amazing with a great view of the garden, and each suite came with a large cat tree which our cat thoroughly enjoyed. Amanda sent regular updates at the end of each day including photos. We are very happy to have found such a great place for our cat to stay when we go away for a longer break. With an extensive choice of services like the Spa day and the a la cat menu I cannot recommend this place enough.

    A real home from home

    Our two cats recently spent a week with Amanda at Longcroft in Walkern. The facilities are excellent, a real home from home, and the care and attention they received could not be faulted. We received updates and photos every other day to let us see how they were doing. From first booking to pick up at the end of their stay, communication was great and Amanda was really keen to get to know the cats' routines and preferences to try and make sure their stay was as stress free as possible. We will definitely book again.

    Cannot recommend this purr-fect cat hotel enough!

    Quite frankly the best cat hotel! Our cat, Pepper, had such a wonderful time being cared for by Amanda that she didn’t want to leave! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
