A fabulous new addition to Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel will be opening at the beginning of October in Creeting St Peter, near Ipswich in Suffolk! Longcroft Creeting St Peter is owned and run by cat lover LJ and her family.

Creeting St Peter is a small, historic and charming village nestled in Mid Suffolk’s Gipping Valley. Located between Stowmarket and Needham Market, just off the A14, the hotel is surrounded by fields and farmland but is conveniently close to Ipswich and Colchester. Situated at the end of a tiny lane, with wrap around garden and a meadow, the hotel is located to the side of LJ’s home, overlooking her beautiful, mature garden. So, she is always close at hand to cater to her feline guests’ every need.

The Creeting St Peter hotel offers just eight luxury suites, each with its own climate-controlled bedroom, leading to a private, safe, play area, complete with multi-storey viewing platforms for feline guests to play or relax. The peaceful location is perfect for both indoor and outdoor guests. With gorgeous views over owner LJ’s two acres of garden, which plays host to lots of birds, rabbits, hares and deer, there will be plenty of natural entertainment for feline guests to watch from the comfort of their suites.

LJ and her husband of 28 years, Jon, adore all things feline – as a couple they have always lived with at least two cats, including rescue kitties and pedigree pussycats. Their home has never been without pets, always cats and sometimes other animals too – currently they have 6 chickens as well as their three cats: a ginger tom named Roo, a Scottish Fold called Trudy and Percy, a Maine Coon. They even took their pet cats with them when they lived overseas for a time and adopted more while they were there! So they have plenty of experience caring for a wide range of cats, with their different personalities and needs. Longcroft Creeting St Peter is a real family affair, with LJ’s husband, plus their grown up son and daughter, joining in the cat cuddles at the weekends. Kitties will receive plenty of one-on-one human interaction and expert care.

Now they are settled in their gorgeous forever home, LJ is excited to be stepping away from her job at a tech firm to focus on caring for other people’s cats while they are away: “I discovered Longcroft when I was looking for help to get my four pet cats picked up from the airport and looked after, while my family and I moved back home to the UK from living overseas. Daisy at Longcroft Orpington came to my rescue!  I felt enormously reassured that my cats were in such safe hands – they were beautifully groomed, happy, and I received lots of updates.  Since visiting Daisy I have wanted my own cat hotel and I now can’t wait to replicate the same impeccable standard of care and loving dedication to my own kitty customers!
